November 29th to December 1st, 2018, the 14th Asia-Pacific Hernia Society (APHS) Annual Conference was held in Dubai, UAE. This conference is an academic feast for experts and scholars in the field of hernia surgery in the Asia-Pacific region and the world. The conference lasted 3 days and had more than 350 academic lectures. It attracted nearly 500 hernia surgeons in the Asia-Pacific region.



Biosis Healing is the only Chinese company in this international conference with a booth display and three surgical broadcasts. The live broadcast of transnational surgery is also one of the highlights of this conference. On November 30th, there were 6 open and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery live broadcasts of hernia and abdominal wall surgery abdominal external hernia from Beijing Chaoyang Hospital. Six complete surgical demonstrations were completed in 3 hours, three of which were used two products of Biosis Healing: one of them used a 3d polymer hernia repair patch, and the other two used non-crosslinked sis biological mesh-- inguinal hernia biological mesh which just obtained Class III registration certificate for medical device.



The live broadcast in Dubai was conducted by Dr. Wang Lei, the sales director of Biosis Healing, and conducted remote interactive discussions with the physicians and surgeons who presided over the meeting. The audience was full, the discussion was lively and useful.

Many experts at the site of abdominal wall surgery had great interest in biological mesh and had a lot of questions. Dr. Wang Lei answered the questions on the spot one by one in detail. The answers to biological mesh cannot be separated from three keywords and a sense of responsibility.

Keyword 1:  Non-crosslinking Process.

Inguinal hernia biologic mesh of Biosis Healing is a high-end tissue regeneration and repair material. The material adopts the pig‘s small intestine submucosal tissue as a raw material. Mechanical properties and degradation properties of the material are controled through a non-crosslinking process. Immunogenicity such as cells and DNA are removed. The three-dimensional structure and components of the natural extracellular matrix, biological growth factors, adhesion proteins, proteoglycans and other active substances are retained. This process realizes high induction activity, controlled degradation, ideal mechanical strength and anti-infection activity of the material.
