Pioneering International Collaboration: Jordanian Surgery Experts Engage in Groundbreaking Exchange with Biosis Healing in China

On July 29th, Biosis Healing extended a warm welcome to a distinguished group of Jordanian medical professionals, including Professor Tayyem Raed, Professor Hamed Raed, and Professor Dawoud Dawoud, all esteemed experts in general and bariatric surgery. These experts embarked on a significant week-long academic exchange journey to China, with Biosis Healing as their first and eagerly awaited destination.

The academic exchange commenced in a cordial atmosphere, with Li Xuejun-Executive President of Biosis Healing, warmly welcoming the Jordanian delegation. He highlighted the significance of their visit, noting that 2025 marks the 48th anniversary of China-Jordan diplomatic relations and the 12th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Emphasizing that healthcare knows no borders, Li underscored the importance of medical cooperation in fostering international understanding and collaboration. He acknowledged the existing bond between Biosis Healing and the Jordanian experts, forged through the company's products, and expressed optimism that this in-person exchange would strengthen technical, clinical, and product collaborations, paving the way for enduring partnerships.

Following the welcome address, Foreign Trade Manager Angela delivered a comprehensive overview of Biosis Healing's journey, highlighting its development history, core research and development team, innovative product pipeline, and the clinical applications of its flagship products. The presentation sparked lively discussions, with the Jordanian experts posing numerous questions about the materials and clinical uses of the products. The Biosis Healing team responded with detailed explanations, fostering an engaging and interactive dialogue.

Post-presentation, the Jordanian delegation toured Biosis Healing's exhibition hall, production facilities, and research and development laboratories. This visit provided them with insights into the company's historical evolution, state-of-the-art production processes, and robust R&D capabilities.

To assess the clinical efficacy of Biosis Healing's products directly, the experts participated in a simulated surgical procedure at the Biosis Healing Excellence Animal Experimental Base, focusing on the application of the Vidasis SIS Stapleline Reinforcement in bariatric surgery. Following the simulation, during a debriefing session, the Jordanian experts commended the product's performance, noting its precision in creating clean and neat incision edges. They recognized that the design of the Vidasis SIS Stapleline Reinforcement aligns well with clinical requirements, enhancing surgical safety and minimizing complication risks. The experts expressed keen interest in integrating this product into their clinical practices back in Jordan.

Following their engagement with Biosis Healing, the Jordanian team proceeded to Beijing Yanhua Hospital, where they convened a high-level academic seminar with specialists from the General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery departments of both Yanhua Hospital and Beijing Friendship Hospital. The seminar featured in-depth discussions on various topics, including the unique aspects of the bariatric surgery markets in China and Jordan, advancements in surgical techniques, strategies for preventing and managing postoperative complications, and the utilization of biomaterials in clinical settings. Both parties exchanged exemplary clinical case studies and shared valuable insights. The Jordanian experts provided an overview of the current landscape of obesity diagnosis and treatment in the Middle East, along with prevailing surgical trends. In response, the Chinese experts detailed the applications of the Vidasis SIS Stapleline Reinforcement in both gastrointestinal tumor surgery and bariatric procedures. This exchange of knowledge generated a wealth of new ideas and opened up promising avenues for future collaboration between the two nations' medical communities.

The visiting Jordanian experts expressed that their visit to Biosis Healing and Yanhua Hospital was highly rewarding.
