On August 30, 2019, the "2019 Hernia & Abdominal Surgery Seminar and Animal Experiment " was held at the Shanghai . More than 20 leading surgical experts and surgeons from Shanghai gathered to discuss the biomedical materials application and development in hernia repair and abdominal repair。
After the beginning, Professor Tang shared his years of clinical experience in the hernia repair at the conference, and reviewed the development from the original synthetic hernia repair materials to the advanced regenerative biological materials. Professor Tang pointed out that the Non-crosslinked extracellular matrix-derived SIS biological material ( porcine small intestinal mucosa)is the most advanced hernia repair material in the clinical application.

Animal experiment
After the meeting, the animal simulation experiment began. Under the leadership of Prof, the surgeons were divided into 4 groups to start the operation of Lichtenstein inguinal hernia repair , TAPP esophageal hiatus hernia and single-hole laparoscopic surgery. During the operation, experts and surgeons actively interacted with each other.
