The Dura Repair Mesh, one of the "key member" of the SIS series products, was awarded the "Beijing New Technology and New Product (Service) Certificate".

At the same time, this is the second time that Biosis Healing SIS series products have won this honor after the Hernia Graft.

Biosis Healing Dura Repair Mesh is the first non-cross-linked extracellular matrix-derived dura mater product in China. It has been officially certified in March 2021, and has won many bids in the national centralized procurement in 2021. At present, it has been widely used in clinical practice.

Like the other members of the SIS series products of Biosis Healing, the Dura Repair Mesh product has attracted much attention from the very beginning of the project. It is one of the important products in the "National High-tech Research and Development Program (863 Program) Project" undertaken by Biosis Healing, also included in the national key research and development plan.

Dura Repair Mesh is mainly used for the repair of dura (spinal) defects. According to clinical data, for neurosurgery of the brain and spine, the vast majority of patients need artificial patches to repair the defect of the dural tissue, maintain the anatomical integrity of the central nervous system, protect the nerve center, and prevent cerebrospinal fluid leakage and prevent adhesion.

Biosis Healing Dura Repair Mesh uses acellular porcine intestinal submucosa matrix material as raw material, and is produced by non-cross-linking process to form a three-dimensional loose porous structure and retain natural biologically active ingredients. The characteristics of the product are similar to the dural tissue, which can effectively prevent cerebrospinal fluid leakage, have good biocompatibility, low inflammatory response, prevent tissue adhesion and tolerate infection. As the dura (spinal) tissue regenerates, the product gradually degrades to complete absorption, leaving no chemical residue. The product has high mechanical strength, can be sewn and pasted, and is convenient for clinical operation.

The Beijing New Technology and New Product (Service) Certificate is based on the provisions of the "Beijing New Technology and New Product (Service) Certification Management Measures". After the review of experts and the certification team, the list of new technology and new products (service) certification is finally proposed. It is jointly certified and issued by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, which is highly authoritative.

The issuance of the Beijing new technology and new product (service) certificate is a comprehensive affirmation of the advanced, innovative, safe and effective aspects of the Dura Repair Mesh products of Biosis Healing. It is also a great recognition of the forward-looking and leading role of Biosis Healing in the field of surgical clinical implant repair products.
